Description
Alumina refractory bricks are high-temperature refractories composed primarily of high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃ ≥90%) as the main crystalline phase, manufactured through high-pressure forming and high-temperature sintering. They exhibit excellent refractoriness (maximum service temperature up to 1800°C) and load softening temperature (>1700°C). The products feature high bulk density (≥2.9g/cm³), high cold crushing strength (up to 200MPa or above), and outstanding chemical stability, offering strong resistance to acidic/alkaline slags and various gaseous media.
We offer multiple purity grades including 90%, 95%, and 99% alumina to suit diverse application requirements. Our bricks are widely used as linings and critical working components in high-temperature thermal equipment including metallurgical blast furnaces and hot blast stoves, petrochemical reaction furnaces, glass melting furnaces, cement rotary kilns, and electronics industry kilns. We support standard sizes (e.g., 230×114×65mm) and custom-shaped production according to customer drawings, backed by full-process technical support from material selection to installation guidance.

2.Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance – Withstand frequent heating and cooling cycles without cracking or spalling, particularly suitable for intermittent operations, reducing furnace downtime and maintenance.
3.Corrosion & Wear Resistance – Strong resistance to acidic/alkaline slags and high-temperature gas scouring, combined with crushing strength ≥200 MPa, effectively extends relining intervals.
4.High Purity & Batch Consistency – Available in 90%-99% Al₂O₃ content options, manufactured with selected raw materials and standardized sintering processes, ensuring consistent density, porosity, and dimensional accuracy across all batches.

Applications of High-alumina refractory bricks
Applications
1. Industrial Furnace Linings – Served as working and permanent linings for high-temperature furnaces in metallurgy, building materials, and chemical industries, effectively insulating heat and protecting furnace shells.
2. Glass Melting Furnace Key Areas – Used in tank walls, burner ports, regenerators, etc., resisting chemical corrosion and erosion from high-temperature molten glass.
3. Petrochemical & Chemical Reactors – Applied in ammonia converters, ethylene crackers, coal gasifiers, and other petrochemical units, withstanding high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive atmospheres.
4. Electronics & Ceramic Sintering Kilns – Utilized in electronic component sintering furnaces and ceramic roller kilns, providing a clean, contamination-free high-temperature firing environment.
5. Metal Melting & Heat Treatment Furnaces – Used in non-ferrous metal melting furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, and annealing furnaces, resisting molten metal and slag erosion to ensure uninterrupted production.

Storage Conditions
Store in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated indoor environment with relative humidity ≤65% and temperature maintained between 5°C and 40°C. Products are packed on pallets or in wooden crates, with stacking height not exceeding 1.5 meters to prevent damage from excessive pressure. Handle with care during loading and unloading to avoid edge chipping. For long-term outdoor storage, cover with waterproof sheeting to prevent rain or snow ingress that may reduce brick strength due to moisture absorption. Under the above conditions, products can be stored long-term; FIFO inventory practice is recommended.
FAQ – Alumina Refractory Bricks
1. What is the maximum service temperature?
The maximum service temperature exceeds 1750°C, with load softening temperature >1700°C, suitable for most high-temperature industrial furnace applications.
2. What purity grades are available?
We offer 90%, 95%, and 99% alumina content grades. Higher purity provides better refractoriness, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature strength, though at higher cost. Customers can choose based on specific operating conditions.
3. Do you support non-standard size customization?
Yes. We can manufacture various custom-shaped bricks per customer drawings, including arch bricks, wedge bricks, chute bricks, anchor bricks, etc., meeting diverse furnace design requirements.
4. How do you ensure product quality?
Each batch is 100% inspected for dimensions and appearance, with random sampling for physical and chemical properties (including Al₂O₃ content, bulk density, crushing strength, refractoriness, etc.) to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
5. How do you prevent damage during shipping?
Packed on wooden pallets or in wooden crates, with straw rope or cardboard between layers, overall stretch film wrapping and corner protectors, effectively reducing impact and friction damage during transit.
